Bedgid Laguerre found her inspiration for architecture through her Haitian heritage, and as her journey progressed within the United States, her passion for architecture also grew. Graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2022, Bedgid's academic journey reflects her dedication to the craft. As the co-chair for Women in Architecture (WIA), she advocates for diversity within the field. Simultaneously, her role with Black Architects in the Making (BAM) in Orlando demonstrates her commitment to nurturing emerging voices. Bedgid's aspirations are firmly rooted in a profound desire to uplift diverse communities, showcasing her authentic dedication to societal advancement. As she navigates the path towards obtaining her official architectural license, Bedgid envisions a future where her architectural creations and advocacy seamlessly unite to shape a more inclusive and impactful built environment.
