Lyndia Mesidor, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Assoc.

Treasurer

Lyndia received her bachelors of Science in Architecture from Florida A&M University School of Architecture and Engineering Technology. Shortly after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, Lyndia moved to Petion-Ville, Haiti where she truly discovered her passion for architecture and spreading the word of good design for all. Lyndia started working for architectural non-profit Architecture for Humanity (AFH). As an AFH Design Fellow she contributed towards the design of school renovations and additions, and professional outreach, partnering with local stakeholders and architectural professionals on the journey to build back better.  Upon completion of her design fellowship she relocated to New York and continued practicing in architecture and related fields, gaining experience in remediation of building code violations, and space management  in higher education. She continued community involvement through volunteering with organizations such as the American Institute of Architects and New York Coalition of Black Architects - National Organization of Minority Architects. Currently, Lyndia is an architectural designer working in Education and Higher Ed. with Schenkel Shultz Architecture. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering her time teaching kids about architecture, attending concerts, and sporting events.
